Walt Disney World Rides for the Whole Family

There are so many attractions that are great for the whole family at Walt Disney World! Sure, it’s fine to divide and conquer every once in a while, but I’m going to give you my pick in each park for a family with small kids or even a multigenerational group! These attractions have no height restriction, and are gentle enough that everyone can enjoy them together; they’re truly Walt Disney World rides for the whole family!

Magic Kingdom

There are so many great attractions with no height restriction at Magic Kingdom, and that’s probably why it’s a popular park for families with small children. My favorite attraction for the whole family is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which is fun and silly without being a crazy ride. Other favorite Disney World rides for the whole family at Magic Kingdom are Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Enchanted Tales with Belle, where members of the family might be chosen to be part of the show!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a lot of thrill rides, but there are still Disney World rides the whole family can enjoy together! My favorite is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which is a trackless (smooth!) ride around the park. With Goofy as the conductor, what could go wrong? You’ll ride through several mildly perilous but completely cartoony scenarios, and even dance the waltz and the conga! Hollywood Studios has some great shows for all ages, as well, so there’s plenty to do together.

EPCOT

EPCOT is a park with a bit more grown-up feel, but there are still lots of great attractions and activities to do with the whole family! My favorite all-ages attraction is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, in the France Pavilion. This 3-D ride takes you on a journey through the kitchen with Remy, and you become mouse-sized the moment you enter the ride vehicle. Kids–and adults–love the huge foods in the pantry, the big wheels on the “cart” we hide underneath, and the beauty of the whole attraction. Frozen Ever After is another great Disney World ride for the whole family, and don’t miss Turtle Talk with Crush, which is hilarious for the adults and magical for kids.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is a great park for the whole family. There are so many animal trails to tour and shows to enjoy, this park is often a big favorite of families with small children. My favorite Disney World ride for the whole family in Animal Kingdom is Kilimanjaro Safaris, which takes you through various animal habitat areas in a safari vehicle. It’s a great way to see some animals up close, and the slightly bumpy dirt tracks make for a fun ride without too much discomfort.

All four Walt Disney World parks have so many attractions for the whole family to enjoy together, which makes it easy to make memories with your whole group. Don’t forget to pose for a photo together!
